Publisher Activision investiert rund eine Million Pfund (circa 1,1 Millionen Euro) in Werbung (Online und TV-Spots) einzig und allein für das "Stimulus Pack" für Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, um den Verkauf des kostspieligen Download-Paketes anzukurbeln. Das 'Stimulus Package' mit fünf Karten (drei neue und zwei Remakes) ist bisher nur für Xbox 360 (1.200 Microsoft Points) erhältlich und soll später für PS3 und PC veröffentlicht werden.
